Leroy's dam was one of the original alpaca imports into this country. When he was born, he was so big, he could cush (sit down) but still reach his mother's teats. He was like a rock, so he carries the real name of Rock Hudson!
While, Leroy lives on the farm, he "belongs" too my granddaughter Ellie, who "purchased" him in 2008 for $1.25--a big investment for a four-year old. (You can read more about this on my blog for October 2010.) That's why he's not for sale.
His fiber makes great yarn! Here's a picture of some of the first yarn I spun--it's from Leroy's fiber!
I have some fingering yarn in stock with Leroy' fiber combined with fiber from BMCA Miguel and blended with merino.
